Best Christmas Party Dress for your bodyshape

Christmas is coming…

This year, I thought that it will be more useful to give you some example of dresses that fit your body shape, rather than giving you my favourites or what’s trendy. Dressing for your body shape is KEY to be stylish. And, choosing the perfect Christmas Party Dress for your body shape is important as it’s a great way to show your personality at work. You can also reuse it for evening out with friends and New Year’s Eve as usually those groups of people don’t know each other! (Just in case you’re concerned about wearing the same dress…) To understand which body shape you are, please have a quick look here.

Let’s start with the hourglass (8) body shape as this is the easiest shape to dress up. This is the ideal shape as this is very balanced, so the objective of all the other body shapes is to create the illusion of having an hourglass body shape!

Your best asset if you have an hourglass body shape is a great waist no matter your size, so show it off! You can click on the photos to know which shops they come from…

Now, let’s have a look at the V Shape or Inverted triangle. You need to create balance between your wider shoulders and your hips so here are some good dresses for you to create the illusion of more volume at the hip area. To the opposite of the V shape we have the Pear Shape or A shape. If it’s you then you want to attract the attention towards your face and create more volume on your shoulder area as your hip area is wider than your shoulders. You also have a defined waist to show off!

Now, if you have a rectangle or straight body shape, that implies your shoulders, waist and hips are pretty much in line so you want to create an illusion of a waist with the design of your clothes.

Last body shape is apple or O shape which implies some roundness and a waist that is not defined. If it’s you then you probably sometimes feel it’s not easy to choose the best dress for your body, however bring the attention towards your face with jewellery or details in the neckline.
